Alaska Employer’s Guide to Wage Withholding
The State of Alaska Child Support Services Division (CSSD) has two electronic payment options available for employers to make payments. Employers can make withholding payments to CSSD with little effort that ensures timeliness and accuracy in the processing of those payments.
◾CSSD Business Services Portal through https://my.alaska.gov/
◾CCD+ or CTX format ACH Credit with addendums
Through the CSSD Business Services Portal, employers can pay child support withholdings using a secure Internet web site. It's a free service at no cost to you. This service can be used by small and large employers.
CSSD uses myAlaska for business authentication and access to the CSSD Business Services Portal. Once logged in to myAlaska, under Services for Businesses, click on CSSD Business Services Portal for a step by step one time enrollment. Once you’re enrolled, there’s a 24-48 hour waiting period to make payment(s).
Employers may send child support payments through their financial institutions internet site using the CCD+ or CTX format. The National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) approved standardized formats for child support withholding payments and is accepted by all child support agencies. This set up is initiated with your financial institution. Please contact your bank representative for assistance to find out if these two ACH options are available for your business.
As an employer, you play an important role to the success of the child support program. CSSD values your cooperation and involvement in the success of our child support program. Thank you for your interest in our EFT services. If you have any questions, please call our EFT Help Desk at 907-269-6750.
Employers can report their new hires directly to CSSD by accessing the myAlaska website. If you do not have a myAlaska account for your business and need to create one, you may do so at https://myAlaska.state.ak.us by clicking on the “New User” link on the left side of the screen and entering the required information.
By using the web based program you as an employer will save time, resources and costs. No more time consuming faxing, making disks or postal costs.
If your business already has a myAlaska account, you can access the Alaska New Hire Reporting website at https://myAlaska.state.ak.us under “Businesses/Submit Employee Hirings to CSSD”. For more information=> Letter to Employers, New Hire User Instructions
