Permanent Fund Dividend Garnishment Information for Parents Making Child Support Payments

• Garnishments are issued automatically against non-custodial parents that are eligible for the PFD and have applied.
   

• Non-Custodial parents who have applied for the PFD and are $50 or more in the arrears should expect their PFD to be garnished.
   

• It may take up to 4 months for the Permanent Fund Dividend Division to review garnishment requests during which time PFD payments are held until the review is completed.
   

• If you believe your PFD was garnished in error, promptly complete the bottom of the Notice of Property Withholding form you receive in the mail and return it to CSSD.
