Payment Information for Parents
➲ Making Payments
Conveniently make a payment online
You will need a myAlaska account to access the CSED Member Services Portal. Once you have logged in to your myAlaska account, choose CSED Member Services Portal. Enter your member number and passphrase and proceed to the "Member Menu" where you can choose from options: "Payments", "Services", and "Settings".
You can make a one-time payment using your bank account, or a credit card. There will be a 2.5% fee for credit card payments. The minimum payment amount when paying online is $5.00 and the maximum payment amount is $10,000.00.
Note: You may make extra payments using this online option. However, this will not replace the withholding order to your employer. If you are interested in setting up recurring payments online, please contact us before setting it up.

Send a payment via check or money order by mail
Write the case number(s) you are making the payment for into the memo field of the check. Place your payment in an envelope and mail to:
Child Support Enforcement Division (CSED)
PO Box 100380
Anchorage AK, 99510-0380
You can also make in person cash payments at the Child Support Office payment window. Please check here for current hours and location.
Employer Garnishments
Most child support collections come from employer garnishments. CSED is federally mandated to send a withholding order when we are notified of an employer. The withholding order sent to your employer requires them to withhold wages every pay period to pay your child support. The payment may include past due child support.
The employer will start taking out payments no later than the first period that occurs after the employer receives the withholding order. They will send the payment within seven days of deduction.
➲ Receiving Payments
You may choose how to receive your child support payments. You can receive payments by direct deposit to your own bank account or you can receive electronic funds on the U.S. Bank ReliaCard® prepaid debit card. Both payment methods are a safe and secure way to receive your child support quickly and efficiently.
At our CSED Member Services Portal, you can select which payment method works best for you. You will need your myAlaska account login and password and your CSED Member Services Portal account login and passphrase.
Direct Deposit to your own bank
Log into the CSED Member Services Portal to select direct deposit as your payment method. You will need to have some information on hand to complete this:
- Bank account type (checking or savings)
- Routing number
- Account number
For confirmation of a child support payment directly deposited into your account, please contact your bank's customer service center or review your bank statement online.
U.S. Bank ReliaCard Prepaid Debit Card

By Check
You can receive your child support payment as a paper check, but this option is not secure and is slow. CSED strongly suggests you choose one of the faster and safer electronic payment options.
Important Tips
- Direct deposit to your own bank account or the U.S. Bank ReliaCard takes two business days, excluding weekends and holidays.
- Always maintain a current mailing address with CSED to prevent a delay in payments to your bank account, prepaid debit card or check payment.
You can update your address through the CSED Member Services Portal, or by emailing us at dor.csed.customerservice.anchorage@alaska.gov, or by calling us at 907-269-6900.
